あなたはどっち？トライアスロンウェアはワンピース or セパレート？　[トライアスロン全般] [編集]

突然ですが、本番のレースで着用するトライアスロンウェアが欲しいのです。
ワンピースタイプ？それともセパレートタイプ？という点に悩んでおります。

旧ブログを見直すと、去年からすでにレース用ウェアを新調したいと言い出してますね、私。

そこでも理由を書いたのですが、やはり晴れの舞台に挑む一張羅。
着るだけでテンションが上がるような、カッチョいい服が欲しいのです。
普段は気後れするようなデザインでも逆に非日常感を演出してくれるので、多少の冒険もありかな、と思ってます。

ちなみにいま使っているのは、2XU（これ、ツータイムズユーって読むの知ってました？）のセパレートタイプ。

上が青一色、下が黒一色。非常にシンプルデザインで、気に入ってはいるのですが、シンプルがゆえに上記のような意味でのワクワク感は感じません。

それとだいぶくたびれてきていて、せっかくの本番に使うにはどうなのよ、という気がしてしまうんです。

さて、いざ新しいトライアスロンウェアを探そうと思った時に問題となるのが、ワンピースタイプにするか、セパレートタイプにするか、です。

プロ選手は基本ワンピースですよね（そんなことない？）。
だから本格派はワンピース！みたいなイメージがわたしの中であり、憧れてます。

はて？なぜ、プロはワンピースなんでしょう。
調べた限りのメリットを挙げてみます。

でもねぇ、いざ具体的に考え始めると、ワンピースタイプに不安要素もあるんですよね。
なんと言っても一番は、

トイレの時めんどくさくない？

ということです。私だけでしょうか。

レース直前って駆け込みでトイレ行ったりしますよね。
そういう時、例えば「小」の場合でも、ワンピースの人（男性）は、やっぱりいちいち上半身部分を全部脱いで、お股までずり下ろしてやるんでしょうか。
それとも太腿部分の裾を広げてヒョイですか？
あぁ、今までのレースで観察しとけばよかった（おいおい）。

しかも今は背中側にジッパーをつけるのが基本でしょう。
ますます脱ぎ着するのが大変になっているのでは。
私はレースのスタート前に用を足してスッキリしてのぞみたいタイプなので、それが面倒だとなかなかレースに集中できないストレスを感じそうな気がします。

あと、貧乏くさい話ですが、ワンピースだと、上半身でも下半身でもどこか一箇所破けたりしたら、もう買い替えですよね。
セパレートなら上か下、無事な方は使い続けられます。

うーん、そう考えるとやっぱりセパレートかな、という気がしてきました。

これは経験してないので想像ですが、多分ロングに出るなら、競技時間も長いので、少しでも楽なものが有効なはずで、腹部を締め付けないワンピースのメリットが大きいでしょう。

でも、私はまだ51.5を楽しむつもりなので、そういった意味でもセパレートでいいのかも。
別に腹が苦しいと感じたこともありませんし。そういえば、バイク用練習着もビブショーツは持っていませんし。

正直デザイン的にも上下で切り替わる方がメリハリがあって、かっこいいように個人的には思います。

そして、先ほども挙げた通り、セパレートだとあとあとパンツだけでも使えるのいうのは、やはりありがたいです（あまり上だけを使うことはありませんが）。
実際、現在も日々のローラー台トレーニング時は、レース用に買った2XUのトライパンツを着用しています。

その理由は、
⑴短時間のトレーニングなら薄手のパッドで問題ない（愛用のCOBBのサドルも結構柔らかいですし）。
⑵スイムも想定した素材なので、厚手パッドのバイクパンツより断然乾きやすい。よって連日のトレーニングにも使用可能。

このような理由でヘビーローテーションしているのですが、おかげでロゴのプリントが剥げて見た目にはややみすぼらしくなってます…。
うん、やっぱり買わなきゃだな。

おかげさまで書いていて頭の整理がつきました。
あとはデザインとプライス両面で納得のいくモノに出会えるかどうか、ですね。
